New Mother Postpartum Services
Congratulations! As a first-time expecting mother, you’re in the midst of preparing for the arrival of your first baby! Your journey so far has involved regular checkups with your OB or midwife, late-night research sessions, attending childbirth education classes, and creating a birth plan that reflects your hopes for the birthing experience. You might be reading books, blogs, and social media posts from professionals and trusted mothers to gain insights into labor, relaxation techniques, and pain management options. You’re possibly building a support network of family, friends and birth workers who will provide guidance and comfort. To help manage the rollercoaster of emotions, you might be trying to stay active, eat well, meditate. You may be preparing to set up the nursery, investing time and effort in selecting the crib, changing table, and decorations. You’re probably spending time building a baby registry, packing the all-important hospital bag, deciding on baby names.
No wonder you’re exhausted. Everyone says you’re tired because you’re growing a human. Turns out, it’s because of the laundry list of things you’re trying to accomplish on top of also growing your baby! I want you to know that it's perfectly normal to feel a whirlwind of emotions. You're diving headfirst into an incredible journey that's all at once thrilling and nerve-wracking. The anticipation of meeting your little one can fill your heart with excitement, especially when you feel those first kicks and hear that tiny heartbeat. But, let's not pretend, pregnancy can also make you feel a bit vulnerable at times – both physically and emotionally. The sheer amount of information, choices, and decisions can leave you feeling overwhelmed. That's okay; we've all been there.
But the fact that you landed here, on this page, means you’re already an incredible mother. You’re doing the research to surround yourself with the best support during labor and postpartum. You’re trying to learn what you don’t know. Building a village of women who have been there before to support, encourage and mother you is so incredibly important during this season. So, whether you’re looking for someone to help you plan your postpartum, process you birth story or support you during your postpartum season, I would be honored to be part of your team.

A postpartum doula is a trained professional who provides physical, emotional, and informational support to new mothers and families during the postpartum period, typically in the weeks and months following childbirth. This is on of a first-time mothers biggest concerns when considering hiring a postpartum doula and the answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT! I insist. Do. Not. Lift. A. Finger. We are quite literally coming over to mother you. You are doing the hard work - up around the clock feeding, changing, comforting your newborn. You’re trying to heal your body, understand all of your emotions, balance your hormones. Laundry, dishes, vacuuming should be so far down your list of priorities you forget about them. I am there to change your sheets, clean up the kitchen, finish the laundry, make you a warm tea or coffee, sit with you and catch up on how you’re doing since the last time we saw each other. Please remember, you’re not the first mother we’ve worked with postpartum and they have all left their dishes, laundry and vacuums sit idle until we arrive!

I offer my services exclusively in package form, and there's a meaningful reason behind this choice. Having experienced postpartum doula services both by the hour and as a package, I found the package approach to be far more preferable. It allowed me to spread out the payments over a period of time before the baby came, relieving me of the burden of scheduling, handling invoices, and making payments during the fourth trimester. During the postpartum season, there's already so much to think about, and the simpler, more streamlined approach provided by service packages greatly reduced my stress. Therefore, I aim to offer mothers the peace of mind that the transactional aspects are settled before the baby arrives, allowing them to focus on mothering their newborn while I support and care for them. In terms of payment, I am entirely flexible and can accommodate one-time payments or weekly installments, adapting to what works best for your family's needs.

Let’s Work Together
We plan for the baby’s arrival buying everything to take care of their needs. We plan for birth carefully crafting our birth plan. Taking the same amount of care to plan for postpartum is equally important. The postpartum planning service focuses on the essential aspects of preparing for the physical, mental, and emotional changes that come with your postpartum period. We cover topics such as physical and emotional recovery, building a support system, meal preparation, affirmations, common postpartum issues, creating a supply list, and accessing local resources. By engaging in a postpartum planning session, you can feel more prepared, ease the transition, and receive the support you need from your village. My goal is to help you create a postpartum plan that suits your unique needs and empowers you during this transformative time.
Postpartum Planning.
Postpartum Support.
Postpartum Movement.
New motherhood can be exciting, overstimulating, blissful, and exhausting. We spend so much time and energy, especially in the early weeks, nurturing our new little one. During each hour together, I want you to leave feeling like you were the one being nurtured. I design each of our sessions to fit your season of postpartum, modifying movements that facilitate healing and bring balance back to your body. We will practice safely, encouraging blood flow and building strength over our weeks together in your core and pelvic floor while relaxing areas of the body that become stiff as you care for your newborn. By combining soft movements, stretching, postnatal yoga, and Pilates, my goal is for each session to honor your body and calm your mind, improving both your physical and mental health. Most important though, my goal is for you to leave our time together feeling renewed.
Becoming a mother while learning to care for a newborn can be an incredibly overwhelming feeling. You just gave birth, are trying to heal, are sleep-deprived, and learning to bond with your new baby. Too often in today’s world, new mothers begin their postpartum season alone to fend for themselves. As a postpartum doula, I am committed to your health and wellbeing, assisting in any areas YOU need it most. As you embark on your postpartum journey of finding your “new normal”, I want to be alongside you supporting, encouraging, listening, and helping however you need.
